Applications
Description
Unsintered PTFE is used as primary insulation or as an outer jacketing material for wire and cable. PTFE provides excellent electrical insulation. Unsintered PTFE film is manufactured by a paste extrusion process. Pigments are added to produce vibrant colors for outer jackets in cables or for identification of primary wires and cables.
Characteristics
• Low shrinkage (<10%)
• Excellent high-temperature performance
• Low dielectric constant and high dielectric strength
• Low friction coefficient and high flexibility
• High tensile strength and rapid rebound resilience
